Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products and materials within the warehouse while following all safety guidelines and procedures.Perform functions related to receiving of product including new, used, service, and returned goods, observing all safety precautionsRead customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shippedMove materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areasAssemble and pack customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in binsProcess orders using approved carrier’s online servicePack all items using proper procedures to prevent damages.

Include packing slip with each orderAttach required labels to packages, compliant with all HAZMAT shipping laws and requirementsVerify items on order for accuracyMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulationsAssist in other areas of the warehouse as needed Skills/Experience Required:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentSarnova Forklift Certification required or provided prior to operating equipmentTwo to four years of experience in warehousing with 1-2 years of forklift experience preferredExperience with personal computer equipment preferredExperience driving material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Forklift) preferredAbility to use carrier’s computer shipping system for processing, labeling and tracking packagesAbility to work in and contribute to a positive team environmentAbility to work in fast-paced warehouse environmentAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for long continuous periods of timeMay engage in some repetitive motionMay engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersDue to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and coldAbility to occasionally sit, climb or balance; ability to climb ladders up to 15 feetAbility to continuously lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 50+ poundsSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
