This role has a starting salary of £42,958 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week. We are hiring an Electric Vehicles (EV) Chargepoints Delivery Coordinator to help Surrey progress towards its net zero carbon emission transport future. The position will sit within our fantastic Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) team, but it is expected that initially it will be task-managed by the Major Projects EV Project Team.

Our aim is to provide a professional, efficient and cost-effective service to the Council. The Team ensures that the Council is protected in its legal duty and that all TRO and Notices are in place prior to any works being carried out on the Highway. The EV team sits within the TRO team and is supported by the Major Infrastructure and Highways Improvement Team, who facilitates the delivery of capital projects initiated within the Infrastructure directorate, including multi-million-pound highways, environmental and E-mobility schemes, which align to the council’s vision.

The TRO and Major Infrastructure teams are based respectively in Merrow (Guildford), and Victoria Gate (Woking), but we promote a hybrid approach to working. The successful applicant will be expected to visit potential and operational EV Infrastructure sites across Surrey on a regular basis. About the Role As the Chargepoint Delivery Coordinator, you will play a key role in promoting, coordinating and managing the delivery and operation of on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Surrey.

Working closely with public and private sector stakeholders, EV chargepoint operators (CPOs) and contractors, you will support the delivery of a wide range of innovative, complex and politically sensitive chargepoint and cable gully installation projects. The role involves advising on and processing Traffic Regulation Orders, managing and prioritising suggestions for new EV chargepoint locations from a variety of sources, and monitoring the progress of installation projects.

You will also maintain accurate asset records for hundreds of operational sites and oversee a range of administrative and operational processes that support the successful installation, maintenance and operation of Surrey's EV charging network. Shortlisting Criteria In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours : Possessing meticulous organisation and data management skills, and details conscious - able to keep track of 100s suggested locations for new EV infrastructure from a variety of sources, monitoring progress and keeping records of relevant considerations on each individual site.
