Evening Room Attendant

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Evening Room Attendant. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, the Evening Room Attendant is a key member of the Housekeeping team responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning and exceptional turndown service. This role ensures guest rooms remain clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared during the evening hours, contributing directly to an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities Turndown Service & Evening Room Preparation Perform professional turndown service, including turning down beds, closing curtains, refreshing the room, and placing amenities according to brand standards. Stage and place guest amenities, welcome items, and special requests according to guest preferences and hotel standards Ensure rooms are left in a welcoming, restful condition for overnight guests.

Restock amenities, toiletries, and supplies as required during evening service. Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance Thoroughly clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and cleaning bathrooms to the highest standards. Empty trash, tidy living spaces, and address any visible soiling or disorder during evening rounds. Ensure rooms remain consistently maintained throughout the guest's stay.

Guest Interaction & Service Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for cleaning, additional amenities, or special services. Provide friendly, professional service while respecting guest privacy and security at all times. Maintenance Reporting & Safety Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or operational concerns to the Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper. Follow all safety procedures and handle equipment and cleaning materials according to hotel protocols.

Teamwork & Operational Support Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, including housekeeping carts and supplies. Work effectively both independently and as part of the Housekeeping team. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned. Other Duties & Responsibilities Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the hotel and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Experience delivering turndown service or working evening shifts is an asset. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Competencies, Knowledge & Skills Strong attention to detail with high cleanliness and presentation standards. Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional customer service skills with a friendly, guest-focused attitude.

Ability to follow safety procedures, operational protocols, and respect guest privacy. Organized and capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
