The incumbent will plan, organize, control and direct the Merit System employment program for classified employees in accordance with the Education Code, and Personnel Commission rules and regulations; serve as Executive Secretary to the Personnel Commission; coordinate recruiting, interviewing, testing, selecting and placement of classified personnel; manage the classification and compensation program for classified employees; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; and perform related duties as assigned.

***This recruitment will establish an eligibility list valid for 6 months and will be used to fill current and future vacancies.*** PLEASE NOTE: This employee shall be appointed from an eligibility list established pursuant to the provisions of the Merit System article within the Education Code (Ed Code 88084). As such, the recruitment is being overseen by a retired Merit System practitioner utilizing an applicant tracking system outside of GCCCD.
