Executive - Research & Development (Agro & Electromechanical)

Vacancy for the position of Executive – Research & Development (Agro & Electromechanical) Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC operates with the vision to be the market leader in elevating and enriching lives. We are looking for a proactive and technically competent Executive – Research & Development to support product quality improvements across agro and electromechanical product categories. This role will play a key part in product testing, quality assurance, shipment inspections, supplier coordination, warranty cost reduction, and technical capability enhancement across the service network.

Job Profile Conduct testing and quality validation of E-bikes, motorcycles, water pumps, agro products, OEM fitness equipment, and related product categories prior to ordering. Perform shipment inspections, prepare verification reports, and ensure products meet required quality standards before market distribution. Analyze service and market feedback to identify product quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Coordinate with commercial, marketing, factory, and service teams to resolve quality concerns and improve product performance. Manage warranty claims, service rebate processes, and product replacement approvals in line with company procedures and supplier requirements. Develop and distribute service bulletins, technical guides, and product updates to support technicians and service franchise partners.

Conduct technical training programs, workshops, and field visits to strengthen technical knowledge and service excellence across the network. Personal Profile Diploma, Higher National Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline. 3–5 years' experience in product quality, technical services, research & development, or a related engineering function. Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Experience in product testing, quality inspections, and supplier coordination will be an added advantage. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting.
