This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in reducing waiting times for children and young people accessing Speech and Language Therapy services. For the first 12 months, you will focus specifically on supporting the reduction of waiting lists through the delivery of initial assessments. This dedicated piece of work will contribute significantly to improving timely access to services for children and families across North Derbyshire.

After the first 12 months, you will then provide a clinical service to children and young people with a range of communication difficulties in a variety of settings, including education settings, nurseries, clinics and clients' homes. This exciting opportunity has arisen in the children's team and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced speech and language therapist with specialist skills in working with SLCN, social communication, speech sound disorders and DLD., The successful candidate will be a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist and be mobile between locations.

They will be proficient in their abilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice, with a proven ability to provide leadership and support within an SLT service. You will work alongside a friendly team of SLTs, SLPs and SLTAs, with line management support from an SLT team leader, as well as having access to clinical supervision and relevant CPD opportunities. You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient-focused care and be a strong team player.
