Facilities TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly)Department: OperationsPosition SummaryThe Facilities Technician supports daily facility operations and office administration to ensure a clean, safe, organized, and efficient workplace. This role combines janitorial responsibilities with administrative coordination, office support, and employee service functions. The position serves as a key resource in maintaining workplace standards while supporting operational and administrative needs across the organization.
Role allocation is approximately 70% facilities support and 30% administrative and office coordination.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Janitorial ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and common areasEmpty trash and recycling; replace liners and dispose of waste properlySweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areasClean and restock restrooms and breakroom suppliesMonitor building condition and report maintenance issues or safety concernsEnsure compliance with workplace safety and cleanliness standardsAdministrative & Office Support ResponsibilitiesGreet visitors, and direct inquiries appropriatelySort incoming mail and parcel shipments, to the appropriate personnelOrder, track, and maintain inventory of office and cleaning suppliesAssist with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing meeting spacesSupport training class needsAssist management with special projects and day-to-day operational needsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in janitorial, facilities, or building maintenance workBasic computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets)Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilitiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workdayExperience in an office or administrative support roleFamiliarity with workplace safety standards and cleaning proceduresCustomer service or front-desk experienceTime management and task prioritizationProfessional communication and interpersonal skills Bottom of FormPay Rate:$16.50 - $23.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:•Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
