Function/Duties of Position Overview of the position Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with lung cancer in outpatient and inpatient settings. Participate in inpatient oncology service coverage as assigned.

Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in accordance with School of Medicine and departmental educational programs. Develop and maintain a program of scholarly activity focused on advancing the understanding, detection, prevention, and treatment of lung cancer. Participate in clinical, translational, and/or outcomes research activities and disseminate findings through presentations and publications.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support excellence in patient care, education, and academic programs. Serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and OHSU committees and councils as assigned. Engage in professional and public service activities, including consultation with external organizations, consistent with departmental and institutional policies. Support the missions of OHSU and the School of Medicine through contributions to clinical care, education, research, and service.

Key Functional Areas Clinical Practice Teaching/Educational Activities Research and Scholarly Activities Inpatient Service Coverage Required Qualifications MD OR MD/PhD Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon Board certified in Internal Medicine Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology Preferred Qualifications Proven success working with multi-disciplinary teams Proven track record of leading research projects History of specialized training and clinical experience focused on the care of patients with thoracic malignancies, including lung and head & neck cancers.
