Job Details:Pay: $17.65/hrJob Description: This position is responsible for all aspects of humanly raising and caring for the Smart Chicken® livestock.Read water metersPick up daily mortalityCheck for proper equipment operationsEnsure birds have water and feedEnsure all equipment is functionalPrepare houses for new chick arrival & placement of new chicksPrepare houses for bird load-out and reconditioningMaster and practice essential farm animal husbandryOutdoor duties include mowing, and grass trimming, snow removalAdhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulationsOther duties as assignedRequirements: Ability to work and operate equipment safely and effectivelyAbility to use time wisely while working independentlyWillingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goalsGood observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideasWillingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergencies as requiredMust be willing to adhere to and support all company policies, programs, guidelines, and standards of conduct.Farm Worker Operator: 6 months of production or farm experience preferred.Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior.
