Job Description The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting restaurant patrons with a positive friendly attitude. Assures patrons are seated in a timely manner assuring that guests have a favorable dining experience. Promote the Family Style Service culture through actions and positive attitude. Responsibilities HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY Deal with high-volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times. Appropriately use all related equipment, including cash registers, Micros, and credit card machines. Assign and assist wait staff. Answer phone, greet guests, and keep track of seat availability in restaurant. Assist with bussing and resetting tables. Have knowledge of customer alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities, and assist as needed. Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner, including host area. Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back. Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management. Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL NEED Must be 21 years of age or older Proficient in English verbal and written Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
One year or more of restaurant experience is preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
