Field Guide - Luxury Private Game Lodge - Welgevonden A luxury private game lodge in Welgevonden is seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide to join its guiding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional safari experiences while ensuring guests enjoy safe, informative and memorable game-viewing activities. Key Responsibilities: Conduct engaging game drives and guided walks, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Provide knowledgeable interpretation of wildlife, ecology and conservation. Safely conduct game viewing and walking activities in accordance with reserve regulations. Host guests throughout their stay and build strong, professional relationships. Assist with guest transfers and other lodge-related duties when required. Maintain a high standard of vehicle, equipment and firearm safety. Ensure all guiding activities comply with reserve and lodge procedures.

Assist with conservation initiatives and contribute positively to the guiding team. Maintain professional communication and teamwork across all lodge departments. Participate in ongoing training and development. Requirements: FGASA-qualified Field Guide. Trails qualification will be advantageous. Valid SAPS Firearm Competency. Current First Aid certification. Valid PrDP and relevant guiding registrations.

Previous experience in a luxury lodge or private game reserve environment preferred. Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology and conservation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passionate about guiding and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Professional; responsible and team-oriented approach. Ability to work long hours and remain calm under pressure. A genuine passion for the bush and commitment to continuous learning.
