Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Field Guide Thabazimbi; Limpopo Introduction: An established luxury safari lodge in Thabazimbi; Limpopo ; is seeking a qualified and experienced Field Guide to deliver memorable guided experiences on foot and by vehicle. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a passionate safari professional who is committed to guest safety, conservation, interpretation and exceptional hospitality.
The successful Guide will provide engaging game drives and interpretive bush walks while assisting the Safari Management team with departmental administration, operations and guide mentorship. The role requires excellent wildlife knowledge, confident communication and the ability to create meaningful connections between guests and the natural environment. Job Requirements FGASA Nature Site Guide NQF4 qualification.
Level 2 Full Trails Guide qualification. Valid ARH and Rifle Proficiency certification. Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate. Valid driver’s licence and Professional Driving Permit. Previous Field Guide experience at a luxury safari lodge . Ability to conduct professional game drives, bush walks and safety briefings. Strong tracking, spoor identification and ecological interpretation skills. Proficient and responsible weapon handling ability.
Willingness to perform game drives, back-up drives and standby duties. Ability to assist during medical emergencies, fires, floods or evacuations. Excellent guest relations, hosting and communication skills. Strong attention to detail, time management and self-discipline. Positive; adaptable and solutions-driven team player. Ability to remain calm and work accurately under pressure. Willingness to mentor team members and support departmental administration.
Social media awareness and the ability to contribute relevant wildlife content. Commitment to guest satisfaction, conservation and luxury lodge standards in Limpopo . Package: Permanent employment.
