Our Power Protection & Automation field teams support the safe installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, energization, and service of electrical protection, control, automation, and power-distribution systems. We are looking for a Field Service Safety Professional . This remote position will support field operations throughout the United States and requires approximately 70% travel.

You'll make a difference by: Conduct scheduled and unannounced jobsite visits to identify hazards, verify controls, coach field teams, and evaluate compliance with Siemens, customer, and regulatory requirements. Review job hazard analyses, pre-task and switching plans, commissioning procedures, single-line diagrams, and equipment drawings to confirm scope, energy sources, boundaries, equipment condition, and ownership.

Verify hazardous-energy and electrical safety controls, including equipment identification, isolation, lockout/tagout, Live-Dead-Live absence-of-voltage testing, grounding when required, boundaries, personal protective equipment, test instruments, barriers, and work-zone controls. Provide safety oversight for relay and secondary-injection testing, point-to-point checks, functional trip testing, breaker operation, remote switching, temporary test connections, energization, and complex commissioning activities.

Monitor other high-risk work, including lifting and rigging, work at height, confined-space entry, material handling, and simultaneous operations, and exercise stop-work authority when conditions, responsibilities, or protective measures are unclear or unsafe. Lead or support incident, near-miss, and electrical-event investigations; deliver field-focused training, toolbox talks, stand-downs, and coaching; and track corrective actions, recurring hazards, trends, and leading indicators.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 5 or more years of construction, industrial, utility, electrical, or field-service safety experience. Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration general industry and construction requirements, electrical safe-work practices, and NFPA 70E. Experience supporting electrical power-distribution equipment or protection and automation environments, including hazard recognition, inspections, job hazard analyses, energy-control verification, field coaching, and stop-work intervention.

Ability to interpret technical documentation, identify safety-critical conditions, and conduct incident, near-miss, and electrical-event investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective-action closure. Ability to travel approximately 70% to active construction, industrial, utility, and customer facilities, including overnight and occasional off-hours work; ability to navigate stairs, ladders, uneven surfaces, equipment rooms, and outdoor areas while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health and safety, electrical or engineering technology, construction management, or a related field. Certified Health and Safety Technician, Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, or an equivalent credential.
