See what the power of commitment can do for you.Join us as we strive to ensure a sustainable future for our communities and the world, we live in.Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners, and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:ResponsibilitiesInspection, maintenance, and gauging of environmental groundwater wellsEnsure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner with respect to applicable OSHA, GHD, and client standardsGenerate quality field notes and enter collected field data electronically to database programsPerform site housekeeping inspections with attention to detail in GHD's operational areaOperations and maintenance, troubleshooting, oversight, and repairs of remedial equipment including groundwater recovery wells, groundwater treatment unit, and all associated physical and mechanical componentsOperate groundwater treatment systems, including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing equipment, to ensure optimal performanceMaintain accurate records of system operations and maintenance activitiesProvide health and safety/construction oversight of contractorsWork directly with clients and contractorsHealth, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.The ideal candidate will have the following skills:Ability to perform field work Ability to communicate across diverse occupational rolesCommitment to safety applying a behavior-based safety culture in all aspects of the jobStrong mechanical, electrical, and computer proficiencyMust be proficient with standard hand and power toolsPhysically capable of working in non-ideal conditions, such as hot/cold temperatures, wet weather, outside, and around loud equipment and traversing rough terrainsAbility to be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, great teammate, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal directionAbility to analyze field readings, data, and operating parameters to optimize system operationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Experience0-3 years of previous industrial work experienceOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER is a plusMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordExperienced operator of heavy equipment is a plusWhy GHD:Take on some of the world's toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.We'll give you control over your career, empower you to find innovative solutions and help you create a lasting impact.See where your commitment could take you with GHD.#li-js1As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
