This role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions which includes purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations. Finance Assistant Responsibilities: Administering financial processes, maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Processing and reconciling payments, invoices, receipts, expenses and accounting data, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.

Preparing and processing supplier payment runs, including reconciliation of third-party and stakeholder payments. Monitoring and reconciling employee expenses, bank transactions, deposits and payments. Maintaining and reconciling financial ledgers and self-billing systems. Preparing and submitting financial and regulatory compliance requirements. Producing accurate spreadsheets, reports and financial information for the finance team and wider business.

Reviewing business accounts and identifying discrepancies or issues, escalating to senior management and relevant Heads of Department where required. Using accounting software and Excel to maintain financial records, analyse data and improve reporting processes Finance Assistant Experience Required Previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Assistant role. Good understanding of purchase ledger, reconciliations and general finance processes.

Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting/finance systems. Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Proactive, reliable and able to work independently. AAT qualification would be advantageous. Why Should you Apply?
