The purpose of the role: The Finance Director is a key member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) and strategic partner to the Managing Director, accountable for the full financial stewardship, governance, risk management and commercial performance. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering Financial Management & Performance delivery Governance, Risk & Compliance Credit Control, Treasury & Cash Management Digital Finance & Data Enablement Corporate Services Leadership Stakeholder Engagement People Leadership & Organisation Development Requirements: BCom Accounting Honours or equivalent professional accounting qualification Chartered Accountant CA(SA) (essential) 5+ years progressive financial leadership experience Proven P&L ownership and executive-level business partnering Proven strong report writing/ development capability Experience within a multinational, distribution or industrial environment preferred Strong IFRS, SA GAAP, UK GAAP, tax and governance expertise Deep experience in statutory reporting, audits, compliance and risk management Track record in cost optimisation, working capital improvement and operational excellence Experience leading Finance, Corporate Services and Compliance functions Experience collaborating with or overseeing IT, Data and Business Intelligence teams Advanced Microsoft Excel, SAP4 Hana, Business Objects and BI tool proficiency advantageous Strong systems and process design capability Excellent numerical, analytical and reporting expertise Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills Ability to operate effectively under pressure and within global structures
