Job Description Post Title: Foster Care Recruitment Officer Location: Highland hybrid Hours: 35 hours per week Duration: Permanent Salary: £32,596 - £36,145 per annum Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale. Contact Person: Elaine Smith Tel: 01463 644460 or Email: [email protected] Job Purpose : The post will cover carer recruitment and retention activity across the Highland, working to develop localised activities and initiatives with the support of the area staff teams .

The Recruitment & Retention Officer will act as the primary link between the   Service   and the public, focusing on attracting, screening, and supporting prospective and approved foster carers or adoptive parents. They will lead on the non-regulatory elements of carer support by managing the training lifecycle and implementing retention initiatives. The goal is to ensure all carers meet training and development standards whilst promoting participation to ensure carers feel valued by the agency, thereby reducing placement breakdown and carer turnover   Please APPLY ONLINE .

Requirements Possession of a degree level qualification in an appropriate discipline e.g. social work, nursing, teaching or occupational therapy or be able to demonstrate appropriate qualifications and experience to meet the requirements of the post.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Significant experience and track record of successful inter agency working in the delivery of services to children, young people and families
