We're seeking a well-rounded, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and keeping buildings and property in top condition. What You Will Do:You will be responsible for the overall upkeep of company facilities and addressing maintenance issues promptly and professionally to ensure safe and efficient operations.Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including furnaces and air-conditioning systems (EPA certification not required)Service and repair water heaters, solar collection tanks, and appliancesPerform general plumbing repairs, including fixtures, disposals, drains, and pipingComplete basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs (lighting, outlets, switches, minor diagnostics)Conduct general carpentry, painting, and building repairs (doors, drywall, trim, hardware, etc.)Perform groundskeeping and exterior facility maintenance as neededProvide maintenance support for additional facility systems and equipment as requiredPerform skilled work in one or more trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, locksmith, etc.) requiring solid working knowledge and troubleshooting abilityRespond promptly to service requests while providing excellent internal customer serviceAccurately document all work performed in accordance with company policyConduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and unexpected repairsMaintain clean, safe, and organized work areasFollow all company policies and comply with federal, state, and local safety regulationsQualifications:3+ years of facilities, building maintenance, or multi-trade experience preferredWorking knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple service requestsValid driver's licenseReliable, professional, and customer-service orientedPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb ladders, kneel, bend, and work at heightsAt GFL, our facilities support the operations that keep communities clean and running smoothly.
