Graphic Designer / Visual Designer (80 - 100%)

What you will do here Concept and design: Developing creative ideas and visual concepts for advertising materials, websites, brochures, flyers and social media channels Design: Implementing layouts, infographics, animations and image editing for print and digital media up to publication or print-ready production Corporate design: Applying and further developing the visual brand identity of the Bern University of Applied Sciences as well as ensuring a consistent appearance of the Departments of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering and Technology and Computer Science Collaboration: Close coordination with specialists from marketing, communication, events and web as well as cooperation with external service providers Project management: Independent planning and coordination of design projects as well as responsibility for deadlines, quality and implementation up to prepress What you ideally bring with you Completed studies or a comparable qualification in graphic design, visual communication or communication design At least 3–5 years of professional experience in graphic or communication design Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; knowledge of After Effects and handling of AI tools Strong sense of typography, layout and colour as well as a creative, independent, structured and reliable working style and enjoyment of teamwork Impressive portfolio with work samples demonstrating design and conceptual experience in print and digital media Some of our advantages upfront Great freedom in shaping your work and plenty of scope for your ideas, creativity and decision-making enthusiasm.
