Wage: $19.50 – $22.00/ hour Hours per week: 32 Benefits Package: Dental, Disability insurance and Extended Medical (After 12 weeks) Location of work: 17250 80th Ave Surrey, British Columbia V4N 6J6 Education: No Degree Certificate or Diploma Work Experience: 1 Year to Less than 2 Years Job Duties: 🔧 Operate and monitor greenhouse equipment used in the growing, moving, and handling of floral, ornamental, and tropical foliage crops.
🚜 Safely drive, carts, and other horticultural machinery as required. 🌿 Assist with crop production tasks such as potting, spacing, moving benches, and supporting plant handling operations. 🚦 Follow all workplace safety procedures and help keep equipment, work areas, and production zones clean and organized. 🛠️ Perform daily inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report mechanical issues or equipment concerns promptly.
📋 Record equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational observations accurately. 🤝 Work closely with greenhouse and production teams to support efficient crop movement and timely work completion. 📦 Load, unload, and transport growing materials, plants, and supplies within the greenhouse operation. Job Requirements: 💻 1 year experience operating farm greenhouse equipment or similar production equipment 🌼 Familiarity with flower, ornamental, and tropical foliage crops is an asset.
🛠️ Ability to perform routine equipment checks and follow basic maintenance procedures. 💪 Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively, bend, stand, and work in a physically active greenhouse environment. 👀 Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment operation. 🤝 Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. 🚗 A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are assets.
