Location of work: 17250 80th Ave Surrey, British Columbia V4N 6J6 Education: No Degree Certificate or Diploma Work Experience: Will Train Job Duties: 🌱 Plant, space, and move bedding plants, shrubs, and other greenhouse stock as directed. 💪 Lift and carry trays, pots, soil, and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. 🚶 Stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and reach while completing planting, watering, and general crop care tasks.
💧 Water, fertilize, and perform routine cultivation to maintain healthy plants and growing areas. 🧹 Keep work areas, benches, walkways, and equipment clean and organized to support safe production. 📦 Load, unload, sort, and stock product and materials for greenhouse operations and orders. 🚦 Follow safety procedures, hygiene standards, and quality instructions at all times. 🤝 Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
Job Requirements: 💪 Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repetitive lifting of up to 15 pounds, standing all day, bending, and crouching. ⏳ Previous greenhouse, nursery, farm, or general labour experience is an asset, but training can be provided. 👀 Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail when handling plants and materials. 🤝 Able to follow instructions, work independently when needed, and function well as part of a team.
🚦 Comfortable working in warm, humid, and fast-paced greenhouse conditions. 🎓 No formal education required; ability to understand basic work instructions in English is necessary.
