A handyman in a fast-food restaurant maintains, repairs, and keeps the building, dining area, and kitchen equipment safe and working properly. Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Handyman is responsible for the lifting, transporting and securing of equipment, goods, stationery and other physical assets Responsibilities Main Duties and Responsibilities Equipment and Appliance Repair Check machines: Inspect and service kitchen gear like fryers, grills, ovens, and beverage dispensers.
Fix small issues: Replace broken parts, seals, or switches on food-prep equipment. Plumbing and Restroom Upkeep Unclog drains: Clear blocked sinks, floor drains, and restroom toilets quickly. Fix leaks: Repair dripping faucets, running toilets, or loose water pipes. Facility and Interior Maintenance Door and window care: Adjust sticky doors, fix self-closers, and replace broken locks or hinges. Light fixtures: Change burned-out lightbulbs and repair faulty indoor or drive-thru sign lighting.
Exterior and Grounds Upkeep Parking lot safety: Clear trash, sweep walkways. Trash management: Maintain outdoor waste bins, dumpster areas, and recycling stations. Skills General building maintenance Cleanliness and tidiness of working area Good time management skills
