Health Sciences & Public Health Faculty Adjunct Pool

Application Deadline: Not applicable Position Details: The Department of Health Sciences & Public Health occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors to teach courses outside of the academic departments within Harris College. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the college search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

Department Details: The Department of Applied Health Sciences is the newest academic unit of Harris College and offers the B.S. in Allied Health Sciences with emphasis tracks in related health professions and pre-professional concentrations to prepare students for competitive application to graduate health professions schools. As one of the fastest growing majors at the university, the potential for innovative curricular development is available for candidates with a unique vision.

The individual selected for this position will have the opportunity to lead ongoing discussions of future public health programs within the department. School/College Description: The Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences consists of programs that prepare future health care and human services professionals. The academic units within Harris College – Applied Health Sciences, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, and Social Work – are home to 1,900 students who are supported by committed and talented faculty and staff.
