This opportunity offers continuity of care, variety, and a collaborative environment! π π₯ Position: Hematology/Oncology Physician π Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (with coverage in Waynesboro as needed) π Start Date: Upon credentialing (as early as possible) π Contract Length: Through March 31, 2027 (ongoing potential) π₯ Openings: 4 Positions Available β° Schedule & Work-Life Balance ποΈ Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM clinic schedule βοΈ Full-time preferred (minimum 3 days/week considered) π 1 week/month call rotation π Includes weekend + night call coverage π§ Predictable clinic structure with flexible inpatient coordination πΌ Practice Setting Community Cancer Institute (ACS-accredited) π₯ Two-site coverage: Chambersburg & Waynesboro Hospitals π©‍βοΈ Support team: NP + virtual hematologist + RN infusion staff π» EMR/Dictation: Epic + Nuance π©Ί Clinical Highlights π¨‍βοΈ Adult-only patient population π Average: ~15 patients/day π ~2 new consults/day Case Mix Includes: Lung, breast, prostate & colorectal cancers ποΈ Select hematologic conditions Community oncology with some complex referrals to tertiary centers π Treatment & Infusion Services Chemotherapy & immunotherapy IVIG & IV iron Injections & supportive therapies π« No inpatient chemotherapy administration π₯ Onsite infusion support + hospital infusion centers β What Makes This Role Stand Out Strong team-based oncology practice π§‍βοΈ Not a solo provider environment Tumor board participation included Balanced mix of clinic + consult + infusion oversight Stable long-term assignment with advanced scheduling β οΈ Clinical Scope Notes No bone marrow biopsies or lumbar punctures required Port access handled by nursing staff Radiation oncology coordination supported by navigator team β Requirements Board Certified (double board preferred) in Hematology/Oncology Fellowship required Active Pennsylvania License (IMLC considered) Willing to license in PA Experience: all levels considered (more experienced preferred) β³ Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days This is a strong opportunity for oncologists seeking a collaborative cancer care environment , predictable weekday clinic structure , and a well-supported infusion-focused practice with meaningful patient continuity .
