Behind every smooth journey is a skilled team keeping our vehicles in top shape-and now, we’re looking for an experienced HGV/PSV Mechanic to join us. Role Overview As a key member of our workshop team, you’ll carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including DAF, Vanhool, Volvo and Mercedes.
You’ll help diagnose issues before they become problems and ensure our coaches are road-ready every day. Main Duties Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues Replacing or repairing faulty parts and components Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance Keeping accurate records of all work performed Maintaining high safety and performance standards across the fleet What You Get in Return £23.00 per hour with guaranteed 40+ hours per week 8-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday with weekend availability No lunch break deductions Paid holidays Overtime opportunities Overtime paid at time and a quarter £100 weekend shift allowance Private dental insurance Private medical insurance Company pension Employee discounts Free onsite parking On-the-job training and career development opportunities What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an HGV/PSV mechanic or similar role Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical diagnostics Comfortable with physically demanding work and heavy lifting Full, valid UK driving licence Ability to work effectively as part of a team D&E Coaches offers a safe, relaxed and supportive working environment, with on-the-job training and opportunities for career development.
