HGV Technician Darlington Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm 1 in 2 Saturdays: 7:00am – 12:00pm Permanent | Full-Time Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a stable role with a competitive salary and a varied workload? We are currently recruiting for an HGV Technician to join an independent commercial vehicle operation, working across a mixed fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles .
About the HGV Technician Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for keeping a varied fleet maintained, serviced and roadworthy to a high standard. Your duties will include: Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Carrying out repairs and component replacement Preparing vehicles for MOT Completing inspections and identifying defects Working across a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles Carrying out general mechanical repairs and maintenance Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard What We’re Looking For The successful HGV Technician will ideally have: Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Time-served or formally qualified Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Experience working across a mixed commercial vehicle fleet Ability to work independently and as part of a small team A professional approach to vehicle maintenance and safety Class 1 and IRTEC are not required for this position.
