This role offers a stable weekday schedule in a high-acuity adult GI practice with strong clinical support and a collaborative care environment. 📅 Schedule & Coverage Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Full-time coverage needed No call required Occasional unit workflow consistency with established clinic operations Start Date: 07/06/2026 Contract Length: 26 weeks 🏥 Practice Setting Outpatient + inpatient Gastroenterology service Adults only (18+) Daily patient load: ~14–18 patients EMR: Epic Medication system: Pyxis Hospital-based GI service with integrated procedural support 👩‍⚕️ Responsibilities Evaluate and manage adult GI patients in outpatient and inpatient settings Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans Assist with procedures (as applicable to scope) Coordinate consults with other specialties when needed Provide patient and family education on GI conditions and treatment plans Document encounters in compliance with regulatory and billing standards Participate in care coordination and follow-up planning 🧠 Required Qualifications Active New York State PA License (required) Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience BLS certification required Experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine strongly preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Board certification not specified but strong clinical competency expected 👥 Team Structure 1 Physician on service 1 APP on unit Nursing and clinical support staff available Structured workflow with interdisciplinary collaboration 💡 Ideal Candidate This role is best suited for a provider who is confident managing a moderate-to-high acuity adult GI population, comfortable working independently within a structured team, and experienced in fast-paced inpatient/outpatient environments.
