Employer: Stauber Family Position: Home Support Worker Location: Rusholme Rd, Toronto, ON Salary: $21.00 per hour. Overtime pay at 1.5 times employee’s regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends (Monday – Friday) (35 hours per week) Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year Education: Secondary School plus CPR or First Aid Language: English Responsibilities: Personal hygiene and grooming.
Assistance with getting dressed. Administer personal care. Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies. Accompany for walks and to all activities, weather permitting. Make appointments and give reminders. Maintain schedule and accompany to all appointments and activities. Provide care and companionship. Engage in conversations. Perform health-related duties such as medication reminders (if required) Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
Good communication and decision-making skills and organization are essential. Must be flexible. Transportation/travel information Public transportation is available Personal suitability Organized Reliability Patience Responsibilities: Administer bedside and personal care; assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, dressing and undressing; assist in regular exercise; assist in feeding; perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; plan therapeutic diets and menus; provide companionship Provide personal care, prepare and serve nutritious meals Transportation/travel information Public transportation is available Personal suitability Organized Reliability Patience Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
