We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Housekeeping Supervisor. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team on a designated floor or group of floors. This role ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.
The Housekeeping Supervisor also plays a key role in training, mentoring, and motivating housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Team Supervision & Training Assign rooms and tasks to room attendants according to the sectional schedule. Train, coach, and supervise room attendants, ensuring adherence to hotel standards. Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support staff development initiatives.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment. Room Inspection & Quality Assurance Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet Fairmont standards. Address any deficiencies immediately, implementing corrective actions as needed. Maintain consistent quality standards across assigned floors. Guest Service & Issue Resolution Respond promptly to guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure a seamless guest experience. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Inventory, Equipment & Supplies Ensure housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment are well-stocked, organized, and in good condition. Order, receive, and track housekeeping inventory and supplies. Maintain accurate records of inventory, expenses, and usage.
Administrative Duties & Reporting Prepare and distribute handheld devices and maintain a log of usage. Report operational concerns, maintenance issues, and team performance observations to the Executive Housekeeper. Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports as required. Other Responsibilities Support departmental initiatives, special projects, and seasonal programs. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper., Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by operational needs.

Experience supervising or leading a team is highly desirable. Education High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related fields is an advantage. Knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, and luxury hotel operations. Competencies, Knowledge & Skills Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills. Proficient in using housekeeping management systems or electronic handheld devices.
Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards applicable to housekeeping operations. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and service standards. Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve guest concerns efficiently.
