Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $70,073.00 - $87,591.00 (commensurate with experience) Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and organizational performance. Job Function: The HR Advisor provides professional human resources advisory services to employees and leaders. The role is accountable for recruitment, legislative compliance monitoring, policy interpretation, disability management, employee relations and performance management support. The incumbent independently manages assigned HR matters while escalating strategic issues, significant risk matters and policy exceptions to the Director.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor legislative developments and recommend changes to policies, programs and practices. Research, draft and recommend new and revised HR policies and procedures. Provide interpretation and guidance to employees and leaders regarding legislation, policy and HR practices. Support workplace investigations related to policy non-compliance, harassment, workplace conflict and other related matters.

Lead full-cycle recruitment activities including workforce planning support, sourcing strategies, screening, interviewing support, candidate selection, employment offers and onboarding coordination. Support succession planning and employee development initiatives in partnership with Organizational Development. Lead relationships with post-secondary institutions, professional associations, and community organizations to support recruitment strategies, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.

Represent Mainstreet Credit Union at career fairs, networking events, and educational information sessions, promoting career opportunities and increasing awareness of the unique value proposition and career paths available within the credit union sector. Partner with hiring managers and educational institutions to identify opportunities for internships, co-op placements, student recruitment, and other talent pipeline initiatives.

Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, recruitment strategies and candidate assessment criteria. Maintain recruitment metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
