Ingersoll Rand is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant for its Pretoria, Gauteng operation. This is a full-time position with a strong operational focus, contributing directly to the reliability of receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution workflows. You will play a central role in maintaining a safe, well-organised facility that enables teams to hit production and service targets while protecting assets and process quality. Key Responsibilities Support end-to-end warehouse transactions by processing receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities in a controlled and timely manner.

Help achieve warehouse operational objectives by contributing practical input to operations planning, reviews, and process improvement discussions. Assist in the development, implementation, enforcement, and continuous review of operational policies, standard operating procedures, and workflow controls. Contribute to workplace safety and wellbeing by following approved standards, maintaining compliance with legal and internal regulations, and escalating risks and incidents promptly.

Maintain efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations through coordination of routine tasks, basic scheduling support, and consistent adherence to personnel and operational procedures. Monitor relevant legislative and organisational requirements, support compliance checks, and provide management with observations for any corrective action. Protect stock and facility security by observing access controls, monitoring protocol adherence, and ensuring clear records of irregularities and control issues.

Control stock accuracy through physical counts, cycle counts, reconciliations against system records, and issue escalation where differences are identified. Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse, identify equipment or environment concerns, and report maintenance and infrastructure issues without delay. Assist with troubleshooting operational problems, complete audits, and identify recurring trends to help prevent repeat delays or errors.

Requirements & Qualifications Minimum qualification: Grade 12. Strong basic computer literacy with practical use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word . Good understanding of stock control principles and the ability to work with inventory records accurately. Strong reporting skills, including the ability to document variances, incidents, and operational observations clearly and promptly. Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external associates, both orally and in writing, including professional telephone communication.

Commitment to safe work practices, including awareness of workplace risks and readiness to apply and uphold safety procedures. Capability to think and act strategically at a practical level by identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements. Demonstrated ability to contribute to business outcomes through reliable execution, teamwork, and a willingness to support additional duties beyond the immediate task list.
