JOB DESCRIPTION – INSTRUMENT SUPERVISOR Position: Instrument Supervisor Industry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery / Industrial Experience: Minimum 5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Qatar / Project Site We are seeking an experienced Instrument Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Industrial projects . The candidate will be responsible for supervising instrumentation installation, testing, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and approved engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily instrumentation activities at the project/site. Lead and monitor Instrument Technicians and other instrumentation personnel. Supervise installation of instruments, tubing, impulse lines, cable trays, junction boxes, control panels, and related equipment. Review and interpret P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Location Plans, Hook-up Drawings, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and Isometric Drawings .
Ensure proper installation of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, switches, control valves, gauges, analyzers, and related devices. Supervise instrument testing, calibration, loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning . Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Process, and Commissioning teams to resolve site issues. Verify that instrumentation installation is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and manufacturer recommendations.
Conduct inspection of instrument installation and ensure proper completion of punch-list items. Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspection, testing, and documentation.
