As an Insurance Support Officer, you will provide administrative and operational support across both policy and claims functions., Supporting the management of insurance claims and maintaining accurate records. Managing customer and stakeholder enquiries through shared mailboxes. Processing payments, invoices and insurance-related charges. Assisting with insurance renewals, tenders and policy administration.

Liaising with insurers, brokers, schools and Council services. Managing a caseload of non-contentious claims and, at higher grades, more complex highways property damage and personal injury claims. Supporting the production of claims documentation and defence information. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Maintaining and updating insurance information and communications for customers and schools.

Any-Desk: As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements., The Assistant Chief Executive directorate is central to Buckinghamshire Council's journey to establish itself as one of the best councils in the country.

Are you highly organised, customer focused and looking to develop a career in insurance and claims management?, We are looking for an individual who: Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills. Is confident using Microsoft Office applications and other ICT systems. Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive working relationships.

Has the ability to analyse information and make informed decisions. Is proactive, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality work. You will be educated to an appropriate level relevant to the grade applied for and will ideally have experience within an insurance, claims, administration or customer service environment. Relevant professional qualifications, or a commitment to working towards them, would be advantageous.
