INTERNAL MEDICINE – ENDOCRINOLOGY, DIABETES & METABOLISM Department: The Department Employment Type: Full‑Time Location: USA, Kentucky Reports To: Clinical Leadership --- 1. POSITION SUMMARY This role provides comprehensive endocrinology care within a collaborative, outpatient‑focused clinical environment. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and manage endocrine and metabolic conditions while supporting evidence‑based practice and contributing to a growing referral network.

--- 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct endocrine evaluations, review histories, and document findings in an industry‑standard EMR. • Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies to guide treatment decisions. • Communicate care plans, procedures, and results clearly to patients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care. --- 3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Active or obtainable State medical license. • Active or obtainable State controlled substance registration. • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine – Endocrinology. --- 4. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience practicing in an outpatient endocrinology setting.

• Interest in working within a team‑based, collaborative environment. --- 5. COMPETENCIES • Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical judgment. • Effective communication with patients and clinical teams. • Proficiency with industry‑standard EMR systems. • Commitment to evidence‑based endocrine care. • Ability to manage a full‑time clinical workload.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient evaluation, treatment, and follow‑up care for endocrine conditions. • Interpret diagnostic studies relevant to endocrine disorders. • Perform Evaluation and Management documentation consistent with professional standards. • Coordinate care with internal and referring clinicians. • Support continuity of care across outpatient settings.

--- 7. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation. • Participate in departmental quality and performance initiatives. --- 8. WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT Work Environment: Outpatient • Outpatient endocrinology practice with multidisciplinary collaboration. • Access to modern diagnostic tools and imaging resources. • Support from experienced physicians and advanced practice providers.

• Large referral network from primary care and specialty clinicians. • Use of industry‑standard EMR systems. --- 9. SCHEDULE & CALL REQUIREMENTS Flexible outpatient schedule with no call responsibilities. --- 10. REPORTING STRUCTURE This position reports to Clinical Leadership within the organization. --- 11.
