Quick Facts Location: Tyler, TX (1000 South Beckham Avenue) Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date/Duration: Short-term coverage as needed Shift: Mon-Fri; Colonoscopies and inpatient consults Hours/week: 40 hours Employment Type: Locum tenens License/Certs: Texas medical license preferred Experience: 2+ years in Gastroenterology preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team to ensure your success What You’ll Do Perform scheduled colonoscopies on a Monday-Friday basis Manage inpatient GI consults, including post-call visits Conduct pre and post-procedure patient workups Execute procedures in the GI lab as needed Collaborate with NP and PA-C team members for comprehensive patient care Support the hospital’s busy GI service line to meet increased demand Assist with coverage during provider vacations, CME, or scheduling conflicts What You Need Required: Texas medical license or eligible to obtain one 2+ years of Gastroenterology experience Ability to perform colonoscopies and inpatient consults Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills Preferred: Prior experience in a hospital-based setting Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient GI procedures About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Tyler, TX, committed to providing exceptional gastrointestinal services to the East Texas community.
