Loyal Source Government Services is looking for full-time Board-Certified Radiology Physicians to provide services to the Syracuse VA Medical Center located in Syracuse, NY Job Summary: Radiology Physicians must be efficient, motivated, focus on patient care with our Veteran population. Radiology Physicians are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the Syracuse VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
They’re required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals. Pay Rate: $318.20 / hr Duties: Responsible for providing on-site clinical and on-call coverage for Interventional Radiology, including, but not limited to the following procedures: Angiography Balloon Angioplasty/stent placement Biliary intervention Biopsies (CT guided and Ultrasound guided) including Lung, Liver, Renal, Lymph Node, Thyroid, Parotid, Bone, Bone Marrow, etc.
Central Line insertion/assessment Chemoembolization Dialysis access & related interventions Drain/tube insertions and exchanges including Biliary, Nephrostomy, Chest, NU stent, Cholecystostomy, Abscess, Suprapubic, etc. Embolization Joint injections IVC filters Lumbar Puncture Myelograms Paracentesis Radiologically inserted gastrostomy Thoracentesis Vertebroplasty Mechanisms must be in-place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance with VHA Directive 1088 Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for interventional radiologic procedures Determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.
Provide review of consults and next-day patient cases for minimum of two hours daily. This includes pre-procedural planning, order prioritization, and any orders needing to be placed in preparation for procedure. Provide post-procedure evaluation and follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures, including order placement. Follow all established medication policies and procedures.
Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients. Qualifications: Must have a BLS or ACLS from the American Heart Association Shall have a current license to practice medicine in New York State. Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field Must be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology Must provide copy of current DEA certificate.
Must have Medical Liability Insurance Shift: · Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM · Required: Must be available partial on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
