This is a terrific opportunity to join the Caterpillar North Little Rock AR team as an Inventory Control Clerk, our 2nd shift team earning day ONE benefits. As Inventory Control Clerk you will provide direct support to the operations team with the goal of making sure material is available to support the daily build.
Other activities that support logistics flow are also part of the responsibility of a Point of Use (POU) Inventory Coordinator. Pay Rate and Schedule: $21.75 plus 7% shift differentialOpenings available on 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. In this role, you will: Confirm kits on floor have been audited & all material is present.
Check material for current day per standard work. Order any missing material per standard work. Put away ILC & flow rack material & scan barcodes as needed for replenishment. Communicate ILC/Flow and hose racks issues to Logistics Planning or Supply Chain per standard work Remove empty ILC boxesfrom racks and place in recycling containers. Remove Empty KB's from all racks and placed in storage area.
Run and reconcile Open Transfer Order report for all material in transit to the line. Clear all negatives that are cause by ordering to wrong location per LS41 Send all excess material on the line back to warehouse Ensure that you have all parts online for the first build of the next day Support build by making sure all have been properly addressed per standard work Responsible for making sure nonconforming bins containing parts have been sent to quality and replacement nonconforming bin is in location Frequently lifts 10-20 lbs.
Occasionally lifts 20-35 lbs. Occasionally pushes/pulls carts requiring 60 pounds of force up to approximately 40 feet. Occasionally works outside during day, hot/cold, and rarely during precipitation events. Occasionally kneels or squats to find tags or lift materials. Occasionally may twist or bend while reaching into containers to identify or lift material. What you will have: 1+ years Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality or Supply Chain Experience Willingness and ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods Willingness to walk for extended prolonged periods Willingness and ability to adapt to various operations Willingness and ability to lift to 35 lbs.
Top Candidates will also have: Experience in Logistics Operations Experience using scan guns Experience in SAP Physical Job Requirements - Production: Constantly stands on concrete floors while retrieving parts/tools and completing tasks at assigned workstation. Walks on concrete floors while retrieving parts/tools from distances of a few feet to approximately 80 feet; frequently to constantly throughout the shift.
