Junior DevOps Engineer Sandton R 300 000 - R 450 000 PA We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Junior DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a software development background who wants to build expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure . You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the delivery pipeline of a highly scalable, security-focused platform, while developing your skills in a real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Git-based tools Support development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications Contribute to build and release processes that improve engineering productivity Help automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Docker, AWS, and Azure Write and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues Support security and compliance best practices across the development lifecycle Stay up to date with emerging DevOps tools and trends, contributing to continuous improvement Required Skills & Experience Some hands-on experience in software development Basic understanding of build systems and deployment processes Familiarity with C# and/or .NET Working knowledge of Git (experience with pipeline tools is advantageous) Exposure to scripting (e.g., PowerShell ) Awareness of containerisation (Docker) Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is beneficial Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset Advantageous Qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or similar Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps ) Understanding of Agile methodologies Awareness of release management and CI/CD lifecycle concepts Exposure to web applications and deployment environments Interest in security-focused software or digital forensics For more information please contact: Jacki Butler
