About the opportunity: Everton in the Community is seeking to appoint a Kicks Lead Coach to work alongside the Kicks Senior Coordinator and Youth Inclusion Manager to, implement and deliver a programme of support across our Kicks sites.

The role will focus on delivery to female participants across sport and football but will also include some youth and targeted support work to identified individuals and groups. Our Youth Inclusion team, targets at risk and vulnerable young people aged 8-19 years old, At Kicks, our main aim is to give children, young people, and their families the support and opportunities to develop social skills, gain qualifications, improve health and well-being and have new experiences in a safe and friendly environment.

We also aim to provide female participants with opportunities within football and sport raising aspirations of our children and young people, with a clear goal of them having a safe transition in to adulthood and reaching their full potential. Other key responsibilities will include:      Supporting the Kicks Senior Coordinator and Youth Inclusion Manager to ensure that young people are recruited, developed, engaged and monitored in line with Everton in the Community guidelines To plan, deliver and evaluate high quality football/sports sessions at venues across Merseyside To support with the delivery of activities at our youth zones (if required) To lead on after school sessions within targeted schools inspiring young people through sport To support small targeted group sessions to groups of young people To lead on our sports offer across evening venues ensuring that sessions are engaging and inclusive In consultation with key personnel complete risk assessments to determine the types of suitable activity for the young person to be involved in   Safeguarding      To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.

To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment. Ensure Safeguarding and Healthy and Safety Processes are implemented in line with Everton in the Community guidelines    Who we are looking for: We are looking for an individual who has experience of working with young people who display challenging behaviour and have or are at risk of being criminally exploited.

Our successful candidate will also demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience: Level 2 FA Football Award or UEFA C Experience of delivering in schools and educational establishments Experience of working within a Youth Work setting Knowledge of policy and procedures relating to working with young people A track record planning, organising and overseeing youth/community led initiatives Ability to stay calm and make decisions in pressurised situations Ability to work with and handle young people who show challenging behaviour Ability to work as part of a team and pro-actively as an individual The closing date of this advert is Friday 25th September 2026, however, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early
