Nuova Italia in Ilchester, Yeovil is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. Full time or part time hours available. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a friendly kitchen team. You'll play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly, supporting our chefs and the wider team throughout service.
The Role Your day-to-day duties will include: Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean Keeping kitchen areas, floors and work surfaces clean and tidy Helping with deliveries and putting stock away Preparing basic ingredients when required Emptying bins and maintaining high standards of cleanliness Supporting the chefs and kitchen team during busy services Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures Helping with general kitchen duties as needed About You We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude.
You don't necessarily need previous kitchen experience, what's most important is that you're willing to learn, work as part of a team and get stuck in when things get busy. Previous experience in a restaurant, pub, hotel or professional kitchen would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
