Position Summary: We are seeking a self-starting and proven systems engineer to lead a cross-functional team of 4-8 engineers in implementing digital materiel management (DMM) solutions for a government customer. A strong background in digital and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) in defense or commercial applications is preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and develop a team of engineers to execute digital materiel management and MBSE projects • Act as the primary interface with the government customer, ensuring alignment of project objectives and deliverables with client goals • Oversee the management and execution projects, including planning, resourcing, execution, and performance monitoring • Implement and manage digital materiel management and MBSE solutions, ensuring integration with the customer's existing systems and processes • Provide strategic leadership, guiding the team in identifying, mitigating, and resolving technical and project management challenges • Ensure strong collaboration and communication up and down the supervisory chain, with government stakeholders, internal leadership, and external partners • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and delivering high-impact results • Track and report project performance, including cost, schedule, and quality, ensuring timely completion of milestones • Explore and pursue professional growth opportunities in the development and advancement of DMM and MBSE initiatives Key Attributes and Skills: • Proven leadership and team management • Strong technical acumen in / aptitude for DMM and systems engineering • Application of process improvement strategies to complex and non-standard processes • Customer-focused relationship-building • Expertise in project management and execution • Analytical problem-solving and adaptability • Excellent verbal and written communication • Collaboration and emotional intelligence • Proactive, self-starter with initiative • Commitment to continuous improvement and growth • Integrity and accountability in delivering results Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field • 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, digital transformation, or digital materiel management, including leading technical teams or projects • 3 years proven leadership abilities, taking ownership of project outcomes and driving proactive solutions to challenges • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead up and down the supervisory chain, fostering open, honest, and constructive communication.
Strong customer focused relationship building skills. • 5 years experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, or Capella. • Proven track record with 5+ years experience mentoring, training, or leading junior engineers or modelers. • Deep understanding of SysML, UAF, DoDAF, and MBSE standards/frameworks. • Experience developing and implementing Government Reference Architectures (GRA’s) • Experience managing complex projects and initiatives with a disciplined approach to execution • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring successful project outcomes while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving needs • Proven track record of distilling vague requirements into a well-defined project plan with clear milestones and metrics for tracking progress • Due to the nature of our contracts, US citizenship is required • Attention to detail Preferred Quali
