Position Overview The Lead Histotechnologist provides day-to-day supervision of histology operations, helping the laboratory maintain efficiency, quality, productivity, and turnaround-time goals. Key responsibilities include: Supervise specimen preparation, cutting, staining, and special testing Coordinate staffing and ensure appropriate coverage for calls Work with pathologists to evaluate the quality of slides and stains Implement timely and thorough corrective actions when quality concerns arise Identify instrument and procedural issues, assess problems, and take appropriate action Document corrective actions and troubleshooting steps according to laboratory procedures Support compliance with established quality, safety, and regulatory standards Requirements AS Degree or BS Degree Current Florida License as either Histology Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor HT OR HTL ASCP certification pref Compensation & Benefits This organization is prepared to offer a competitive salary depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement benefits Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Career-growth and professional-development opportunities Comprehensive health and wellness resources Additional employee wellness and financial-support programs Sign On Bonus Why Join Us?
