Lead Line Cook

LEAD LINE COOK FENIKS — Southampton, NY $22–$25/hour, based on experience FENIKS is a fine dining restaurant in Southampton, owned and operated by Douglas Gulija , with an open kitchen and a hands-on approach to food, service, and hospitality. We’re looking for a strong, motivated line cook to join our kitchen team. This is not simply a position to come in, work a station, and collect a paycheck.

We’re looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow . For the right person, this position can develop into a Chef de Cuisine role with increased responsibility and leadership. THE RIGHT PERSON You should have a solid foundation in professional cooking and take genuine pride in what comes out of your station. We value cooks who are curious, disciplined, clean, organized, and willing to learn.

You should be comfortable working in a demanding fine dining environment where consistency, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork matter . We’re especially interested in someone who: Has professional line-cook experience; fine dining experience is a plus Has strong basic cooking and knife skills Can maintain a clean, organized station during service Understands the importance of timing, consistency, and presentation Takes direction well while also being capable of working independently Communicates clearly and works well with the entire kitchen team Wants to continue learning and developing as a cook Is dependable, hardworking, and takes ownership of their responsibilities Has the ambition to grow into a leadership position GROWTH OPPORTUNITY We want to invest in the right person.

As you demonstrate your ability and take on more responsibility, there will be opportunities to grow within the kitchen and work toward a Chef de Cuisine position . The goal is to find someone who wants to build something with us — not just someone looking for their next seasonal job. REQUIREMENTS Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Local housing is required. Candidates must have their own reliable housing in the Southampton area.

Housing is not provided. COMPENSATION $22–$25/hour, based on experience. Additional responsibility and advancement opportunities are available for the right candidate.
