LEAD MILITARY PAY TECHNICIAN (RETIRED PAY)

Job Summary Job Duties Responsible for providing instructions, distributing and balancing the workload employees (base level GS-07) who perform such work as processing a wide variety of retired pay transactions. Keep in touch with the status and progress of work, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization.

Give on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. Maintain a current knowledge and answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives. Resolve simple informal complaints of employees and refers others to supervisor. Make information suggestions to supervisor as requested concerning promotions, reassignments, recognition of outstanding performance, and personnel needs.
