If you're a qualified Occupational Health professional with strong clinical and operational experience and a passion for developing people, we'd love to hear from you., This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional to lead a well-established service and make a significant contribution to workforce health and wellbeing across North Yorkshire and beyond. As Lead Occupational Health Nurse, you will combine clinical expertise with strong operational leadership, guiding a multidisciplinary team while helping to shape the future direction of the service.

Working with the Occupational Health Business Partner SCPH Nurses, you will ensure the delivery of a high-quality, sustainable and customer-focused Occupational Health Service, supporting both organisational objectives and positive health outcomes for those who use our service. Key responsibilities will include: Leading, motivating and developing the Occupational Health team to deliver excellent outcomes for clients.

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring resources are effectively managed and service standards are maintained. Providing coaching, mentoring and professional support to colleagues, promoting continuous learning and development. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring services remain responsive to their needs. Acting as a source of expert occupational health advice and clinical guidance.

Contributing to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the achievement of strategic objectives. Supporting wider public health, health promotion and employee wellbeing programmes. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and operational knowledge. To be successful in this position, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and experience within your application: A proven track record in Occupational Health Nursing, or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.

Experience working in a clinic-based, nurse-led environment. Experience acting as a Lead Nurse within a clinic-based, nurse-led setting. Registration as a Part 1 Registered General Nurse (RGN). An Occupational Health qualification (Degree or Diploma). Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to design and deliver engaging training and learning materials. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify practical solutions and make informed decisions that support effective service delivery.

Experience developing, reviewing, and implementing policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, best practice, and organisational requirements. While experience of SEQOHS accreditation standards would be advantageous, it is not essential. Why join us?
