Learning Support Assistant – Bristol Full-Time, Part-Time & Long-Term Opportunities | Primary, Secondary & SEN Settings Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their potential? Protocol Education is working with a range of schools across Bristol , looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their teams. We have opportunities across primary, secondary and specialist SEN settings.
About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with their education and develop their confidence and independence. Your responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support Helping pupils access the curriculum and classroom activities Supporting literacy, numeracy and other learning activities Assisting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND Supporting social, emotional and behavioural development Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and communication skills Working closely with teachers and other professionals Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months' relevant UK experience working with children, young people or within an education/support setting Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN TA or similar is desirable Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous Patient, caring and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Genuine passion for supporting children and young people Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but not essential Why Work with Protocol Education?
