Coordinating and supporting the delivery of key aspects of the Links for Life programme and its associated projects. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across health, care, housing, public services and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Supporting communities of practice, provider forums, networks, workshops, engagement activities and partnership initiatives.
Gathering, analysing and interpreting information, data and feedback to support monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement. Producing reports, performance information, briefings and recommendations to support programme governance and decision making. Supporting the design, development and delivery of projects, programmes and investment activity to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved and benefits for residents are maximised.
You must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post, as attendance at meetings, events and community activities across Sunderland and the wider region will be required. Sunderland City Council are looking for enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individuals who are passionate about improving health and wellbeing outcomes and strengthening communities across Sunderland to join the Public Health and Wellbeing Team as Links for Life Coordinators.
Links for Life is Sunderland's approach to helping people stay connected to their communities and find the support that matters to them. By bringing together local organisations, services and community groups, it makes it easier for residents to access activities, advice and opportunities that improve health and wellbeing. Working with partners across local authority, housing, health, care, voluntary and community services, Links for Life plays an important role in strengthening local connections, improving access to support and reducing health inequalities across the city.
The Links for Life Coordinators will be responsible for coordinating projects and partnerships, supporting programme development, gathering and analysing information, engaging with stakeholders and communities, and ensuring activity contributes to improved outcomes for Sunderland residents. Coordinators will be asked to lead on, or provide specialist support to, one of several key areas of the Links for Life programme.
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial: digital service development, workforce development and training, community engagement, programme management, performance monitoring or grants administration. We are looking for individuals with experience of coordinating projects, programmes or partnerships and building effective relationships across organisations, particularly public sector and voluntary community and social enterprise sector (VCSE), and communities.
You will have strong communication and organisational skills, experience of stakeholder engagement, and the ability to analyse information and turn insight into action.
