About This Role The Litigation Paralegal provides litigation and case management support to the Legal Department and serves as a key partner in managing claims, litigation, investigations, and related legal matters across Acadia. This role supports attorneys and legal professionals through all phases of litigation, including case intake, document management, discovery, litigation holds, trial preparation, and coordination with outside counsel.

Coordinate and maintain litigation files, pleadings, correspondence, case documents, and related records. Manage legal holds, document preservation efforts, and custodial communications. Assist attorneys and outside counsel with discovery requests, document collection, document review, and production activities. Coordinate responses to subpoenas, records requests, and other legal inquiries. Track litigation deadlines, court filings, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial dates.

Prepare chronologies, case summaries, witness files, and other litigation support materials. Assist with investigation of claims and litigation matters, including fact gathering and records review. Organize and maintain electronic case files and litigation databases. Coordinate communications among facility personnel, Risk Management, Human Resources, Operations, outside counsel, and other stakeholders.

Review invoices from outside counsel and legal vendors and assist with budget tracking and reporting. Support mass tort and multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters through document collection, case tracking, and coordination activities. Prepare regular litigation status reports and other legal department reporting . Assist with legal department projects, policy updates, and compliance initiatives. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assist with special projects and investigations as assigned.

Support records management and retention activities. Perform administrative and legal support activities for the Legal Department. Perform other duties as assigned. STANDARD EXPECTATIONS : Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives, and confidentiality requirements. Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Exercises sound judgment and appropriate escalation of issues. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. What you'll bring... Minimum Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience supporting civil litigation, healthcare litigation, insurance defense, employment litigation, mass tort litigation, or related practice areas.
