Litigation Legal SecretaryLocation: Carlsbad, CA Salary: Up to $110,000 DOE Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMA respected law firm in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong civil litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively support multiple attorneys.

The firm is open to considering both direct-hire and temp-to-hire candidates for the right individual.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling civil litigation matters.Maintain and manage court calendars, including tracking statutory and court-ordered deadlines.Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including:PleadingsMotionsDiscovery requests and responsesLegal correspondenceCoordinate state and federal court filings, ensuring compliance with all court rules and procedures.Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings, and other case-related events.Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.Assist with document production, exhibits, trial preparation, and litigation support.Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.Support attorneys with additional administrative and legal projects as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of litigation legal secretary experience.Strong working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, calendaring requirements, and filing deadlines.Experience preparing and filing court documents in both state and federal courts.Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic filing platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a proactive litigation professional who can work independently, manage a busy workload, and ensure attorneys remain ahead of critical litigation deadlines.
