Anesthesiologist (Full-Time – Florida Residents Only | Ongoing Assignment) Description Full-time Anesthesiologist locum tenens opportunity for Florida residents only (out-of-state candidates see Job 2847) Must be available to start by Monday, June 1 Must be available every week of the month (full-time coverage requirement) High-volume multispecialty anesthesia role with required beeper call Strict eligibility, credentialing, and compliance requirements Clinical interview required with Chief CRNA / Site Medical Director / leadership team No providers who worked for Envision within past 12 months within 75 miles No providers who worked at this site or affiliated sites within past 24 months Must not reside in Broward, Palm Beach, or Dade County Must meet all credentialing and background requirements About the facility High-volume, non-teaching medical center Care team model: 26 CRNAs and 12 MDs (80/20 supervision) Annual volume: ~1,150–1,200 cases per month OB deliveries: ~200 per month Case mix: General Surgery, Ortho, GI, Robotics, OB, Radiology, Endo, Eyes, Plastics, ENT, Neuro No trauma cases Dedicated cardiac team handles hearts EMR: Epic Support includes CRNAs, MDs, and OR teams Daily catered meals provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) Compensation: Pay Rate: Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.
Travel expenses reimbursed, including: Mileage Rental car Hotel Flight Malpractice Covered Job Responsibilities Provide anesthesia services across multiple specialties (no trauma) Work within 80/20 care team model (CRNA/MD supervision structure) Manage high-volume OR caseload (primarily general surgery, ortho, GI, robotics) Participate in required beeper call coverage (weeknight + weekend) Ensure safe anesthesia delivery per hospital protocols Complete documentation in Epic EMR Provide required 24-month case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval Participate in mandatory clinical interview prior to credentialing Qualifications Board Certified Anesthesiologist required Active Florida license required ACLS, BLS (AHA), and PALS required 100% clean background (no clinical, legal, or pending cases) Must provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of approval Must have 10 or fewer affiliations Must be able to start by June 1 Must provide availability and contact information with submission Must pass hospital credentialing phone interview (CNO final step) Must comply with all Envision eligibility restrictions Working Hours Monday–Friday: 5x8s or 5x10s (7a–3p or 7a–5p) Full-time requirement: minimum 4 weeks/month (no PRN coverage) Weeknight call: 7p–7a, one week/month (beeper call) Weekend call: 24-hour beeper (Saturday & Sunday), one weekend/month Credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days (no rush available) Skills Multispecialty anesthesia expertise High-volume OR experience Strong CRNA supervision ability Excellent clinical judgment and patient safety focus Ability to function within 80/20 care team model Strong communication and teamwork skills Adaptability to structured beeper call system Epic EMR proficiency Strong compliance, documentation, and credentialing discipline
